Background, skills, key roles and responsibilities
- Part time or full time calf rearers required for a min. 3 month period, starting 10th March.
- Progressive dairy farming in Dumfries & Galloway (near Newton Stewart) milking 1200 with a spring block calving operation rearing 400 dairy calves and 700 Aberdeen Angus calves.
- Some calf rearing experience beneficial, with some level of agricultural experience as a minimum.
- Work involves working with powdered milk, teat training transitioning to Heatwave feeders and feeding of concentrate.
